R16：Kyushu Debate Openお疲れ様でした－プレパとDeputy－
大会後あるあるの大会振り返りブログです。
ちなみに各大学が大会後とかに公開するブログが結構好きで毎回読んでるので、もっといろんな大学がブログに取り組んでいくといいなあと個人的に思ってます笑
今回は大先輩とQDOに参加し、R４トップラウンドに入るまで頑張るも最後３位かつPre-QFで散りました（ ＾ω＾）・・・
僕は今回後ろのスピーチ（Deputy/Whip）をしました、Closingは一回しかしてないのでほぼDeputyしかしてないですが。
いつもはラウンドごとに振り返るんですが、今回は
１：プレパでディベートの本質を見抜く
２：OpeningでのDeputyの役割
について各ラウンドを振り返っていこうかと思います。私たちがどんなアーギュメントを言ったかはあんまり触れないと思います
※僕はそもそもDeputy得意な方ではないと思うので参考にならないかもです
（参考：以降の話で出てくる各ラウンドのMotion）
R１
THBT developed countries should pay to developing countries to protect ecologically important land and/or waters from economic exploitation. (e.g. deforestation, mining, fishing)
R２
TH rejects all narratives that depict Inseki-Jisatsu as honorable
Info: Inseki-Jisatsu, translated as “responsibility-driven suicide”, is a phenomenon where individuals commit suicide to atone or take personal responsibility for a significant failing. Examples of this include politicians charged with corruption, corporate leaders accused of major financial mismanagement school headmasters after fatal accidents on school property, and parents of children who commit serious crimes.
R３
Assuming the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) medical robots that are proven to perform better than human doctors, THW conceal all incidents of medical accidents caused by AI.
R４
THW institute a quota for female leaders in academic institutions/organizations.
Pre-QF
THBT it is never justified to assassinate state-sponsored scientists and researchers conducting research into weapons of mass destruction.
QF
THBT LGBTQ+ activists in non-Western countries should use and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and individuals using their local historical terms instead of Western terminology.
Info: Non-Western countries have rich histories and communities of non-binary/LGBTQ+ individuals, including mahjie (Singapore), jathil (Indonesia), calabai (Bugis), cult of Tu’er Shen (China), Hira (India), among others.

THW hold bystanders of all sexual harassment liable for their failure to help.
どれも面白いMotionですね、QFとSFやりたかったなぁ（白目）
①プレパでディベート／Motionの本質を見抜く
１：基本的な「対立」（≒1st principle）はしっかり押さえておき、そのMotionにおいて何がメインになるかを考える
・R１
→環境保護VS経済発展、途上国の発展
・R３
→国民の知る権利VS政府の隠す権利（義務）
・R４
→Affirmative Actionの対立（Positive Discriminationをどこまでやっていいのか）
・Pre-QF
☆これらは色んなディベートで度々出てくる対立なので、その度にロジックの見直しやリサーチをした後に、それを一般化して蓄えておくことで対処できると思います
２：特定の問題やジャンルにおける対立／理論や実例も抑えておく（１より更にSpecificなイメージ）
・R１
→途上国の環境破壊／貧困問題（＋及び途上国政府の管理・対処能力、先進国の関わりや援助）
・R３
→AIの諸問題（機能や発展、人々の反応）
・R４
→クォーター制の是非や背景（kick outされる人可哀そう／quotaで入る人へのstigma, self-inferiority等）
・Pre-QF
→戦争においてどんな兵器（核／化学等）が用いられているのか？実際に使われた例は？
・QF
→インターセクショナリティ（Intersectionality）の理論や問題など
※intersectionalityは「ある人が苦しんでいるのには重層的に様々な問題・Identityが関わっているよね」という考え方が起源だったと思います。雑に言うと”women suffer!” の中にもblack women, white women, Muslim women, Christian women, poor womenなど色んな集団がいるよね、ということです
・SF
→性犯罪やセクハラの問題と対処について、bystanderの義務って何？
☆ここら辺はロジックだけではどうしようもないことも多いので、きちんとリサーチをして社会問題の背景を現実的に理解することが大事な気がします。ただ理論に関しては類似のMotionも多いのでそこから考えるのも良いと思います。

※info slideが本来ありまして「一回起動させたら勝手に人を識別して攻撃し続けるよ」みたいな内容です、確か。
Quotaはいくらでもありますね、board of executives in corporationsとかdietsとかmilitary officialsとか
〇インターセクショナリティ（Intersectionality）
THBT feminist movement should never oppose Burka. (JPDU 秋T 2015 R４)
THR social justice movements’ increasing usage of the concept of intersectionality. (Taiwan Debate Open 2017 R４)
〇性犯罪などに関して
THW prosecute suspected rapists without the formal complaint from the victim. (Momiji 2016 R４)
This House would lower the burden of proof in cases of sexual assault to a balance of probabilities in a court of law. (UADC 2018 R３)
Info: Currently, for someone to be found guilty of criminal misconduct, they have to be found guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt". Finding someone guilty based on "Balance of probabilities" means that it is merely more likely than not that the person is guilty. It means that it is probable, i.e., the probability that some event happens is more than 50%.
〇bystanderの義務に関して
THW force doctors to report suspected cases of domestic violence. (Icho 2015 SF)
THBT priests should report the confession of serious crimes to the police. (The Kansai 2015 Rookie GF)
That we should introduce good samaritan laws. (2012 Australs GF)

３：Wordingを丁寧に読み、具体的な話とUniquenessを考える
・R１
→pay(to protect environment from economic exploitation)の方法や意義／結果
・R２
→引責自殺の意義、実際に誰が何のためにするのか？honorとはどういう意義がある？
・R４
→教育機関／そこのリーダーの役割や意義
・Pre-QF
→科学者のキャラクター、研究の内容、暗殺の意義や必要性、state-sponsoredの意義や影響
↓
プレパでこれらを基に最終的に導き出す必要があるのが
１：自分らのサイドに必要なBOPやマターを考える（何をどこまで守るのか）
２：そのために潰さないといけない相手の話を考える
３：その潰し方をどうコンストに組み込むかを考える
Ex) 価値観のコンパリ、キャラのコンパリ、オルタナとの比較等々
って感じです。まあ難しければ
１；自分たちのゴールを達成、これは相手のゴールより大事
２：相手のゴールはむしろこっちで達成できる
って感じの流れを作れば無難かなと思います。もちろんディベートによってはできないこともありますが
例）
R１のOpp
経済的な発展の方が大事→そうすればむしろ環境保護できる
R２のGov
社会全体の問題解決が大事→むしろ個人にとってもnarrativeがあるとcoerciveな引責自殺になってよくない
R３のOpp
知る権利は大事で国は隠す正当性無い→Oppの方がよりAI発展するから人々のパニックとかなんちゃらは無くなる
上手いディベーターってここら辺を本当にきれいにしてるんですよね、1stとかから。めちゃくちゃ強い。
②Deputy（チームの２人目）の役割
１：パートナーを疑う
プレパの話がそのまま１０割きちんと出るとは限らない。減るかもしれないしニュアンスが変わるかもしれない
２：相手の話をかなり丁寧に聞く
コアとなる主張やロジックを丁寧に聞き、きちんと反論／比較で潰す
３：自分から出すNew Argumentはかなり精査する
言いたいことは何か、メカニズムやロジックはあるか、インパクトはあるか、MotionとのLinkageはあるか、相手の話ときちんとComparativeに説明できるか
↓
これらを基にDeputyがしないといけないのが
１：プレパで自分のスピーチの流れや内容は大体を決めておく
・パートナーから延ばす話
・相手を予測し反論／比較の準備
↓
実際の試合中はパートナーや相手のスピーチを丁寧に聞き細かい修正を加えながらスピーチを作る
２：自サイドに足りない話の補強
具体性／ロジック／キャラクター／メカニズム／インパクト（相手とComparative）
３：相手のコアを切り崩す
きちんとロジックを切る反論をする（無駄にパラレルなキャラやロジックを作るだけで終わらない）
４：New ArgumentはClosingのMemberとWhipをどちらも自分で済ませる気持ちで話す
前提となるメカニズムやキャラ、インパクト、MotionとのLinkage、相手との比較まで全て済ませる。逆にこれらができないような話は不十分に終わるのでしない方が良いかも
って感じです。書いてみてふわっとしてる感じがしたので以下に実際のラウンドで自分が話したアーギュメントとかその思考を書いておきます。
R２

DPMから新しい話として「社会が引責自殺を求める声が強いと、実際には責任が無い人がscapegoatにされやすくなる」という話をしようとしました。
実際には自分のスピーチ内でコントラしたうえにMotionとのLinkageが足りなかったため評価されませんでしたが(´・ω・`)
R４
THW institute a quota for female leaders in academic institutions/organizations.
LOが「能力ベースできちんと人を選ぶから大丈夫だよ」と言ってたので、DPMから人々のsubconscious biasがいかにやばいかを話しました。
（DLOのBrian Wongに反論とFlipされてボコボコにぶっ潰されましたが）

LOでは化学兵器が使われるとめっちゃ人が死ぬけど暗殺で食い止めたら犠牲者が減る、という流れのプラを出してたので、
DLOから「どうせトランプとかはUNの勧告を無視して反撃とか抑止のためにシリアに爆撃とかするから、それなら暗殺の方がより犠牲者が少なく解決できるよね」っていうオルタナとの比較で話しました。
はい、以上こんな感じです。
普通にスピーカースコア良くなかったですしもっといいスピーチしたいですし、ブレイクラウンド勝ち進みたいので精進します。
ＱＤＯは国際大会な上に年々規模が拡大したり招致ジャッジが豪華になったりコミの方も本当に大変だったと思いますが、運営ありがとうございました。感謝です。
